The Courier – Challenges still ahead for the health board

Health Secretary Shona Robison pledged to take up various issues raised at the annual review as some of the challenges facing NHS Fife were outlined.

The shortage of GPs, transport issues for patients in north-east Fife and a lack of oncology services at Dunfermline’s Queen Margaret Hospital were all bug-bears brought to light by members of the public in attendance at the review.

Audience member Linda Holt highlighted the lack of GPs in Central Fife and called on GP provision to be more linked to areas of deprivation.
